WDR Re-Launch Web Site with Sophora
Cologne and Hamburg, 18 January 2011. subshell has provided the Web content management solution for the re-launch of WDR's Web Site www.wdr.de.
Using Sophora content management software, WDR now has an easier way to create, manage and deliver vital content to the live site.
WDR (Westdeutscher Rundfunk) is a German public-broadcasting institution based in the Federal State of North Rhine-Westphalia with its main office in Cologne. WDR is a constituent member of the consortium of German public-broadcasting institutions, ARD. As well as contributing to the output of national television channel Das Erste, WDR produces the regional television service WDR Fernsehen and six regional radio networks.
Create Info Graphics with Sophora
Our goal is to create, manage and publish highly customisable info graphics or statistics within Sophora. The actual generation of the graphics is done by Maongo, a high-class Authoring Framework for the creation of web or television media. Maongo is a product of our partner 4=1. Hence the graphics are generated, they are treated like normal Sophora image documents. Thus they integrate seamlessly into the work flow of Sophora. For example the graphics can easily be used as a teaser or as a paragraph image of a story.
N-JOY XTRA launched using Sophora
Hamburg, 25 January 2011. German broadcaster NDR is now online at www.n-joy.de with N-JOY XTRA using the Content Management System Sophora from subshell (www.subshell.com). N-JOY XTRA is aimed at young people and has a strong focus on multimedia and interactive content. NDR chose Sophora because of its ease of use, the ability to distribute content across all publishing platforms, innvovative teaser management, and flexible interaction with third-party systems.
Eurovision Song Contest: Official German Web Site re-launched
Hamburg, 20. January 2011. German broadcaster NDR re-launched the Eurovision Song Contest's official German Web Site with Sophora, subshell's high-end Content Management System. "Feel your heart beat!".
Norddeutscher Rundfunk (NDR) is a public radio and television broadcaster, based in Hamburg. In addition to the city-state of Hamburg, NDR transmits for the German states of Lower Saxony, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Schleswig-Holstein. NDR is a member of the ARD consortium.Because of the responsibility for the German participation in the Eurovision Song Contest the NDR will organise the contest in 2011 after Lena Meyer-Landrut won the 2010 event in Oslo
Tagesschau App launches with Sophora
subshell developed a new interface for mobile access to "tagesschau.de"
Hamburg, 21. December 2010. Available free of charge, the new Tagesschau App gives users of Apple iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch as well as Android and Blackberry devices 24 hours-a-day access to the latest news from ARD. The app is using a newly developed interface to subshell's Content Management System Sophora, which is successfully powering Tagesschau's online newsroom since 2007.
